Pay GoDaddy extra for the time being. Then negotiate

with them for new agreement to pay by database connection(ie, pay fees every 150 DB connection). I'm sure they're happy to earn more business.A dedicated resource in house is costly for Database.
Long term will be managing your DB connection. 150 concurrent connection is a lot.
