这是在一次国际会议上听的报导。其实,如果您到PubMed查一下,

就会发现,鸡蛋牛奶是否升高血液里的胆固醇,还是一个有争议的问题。最近的研究提示,多吃鸡蛋可升高HDL(所谓好胆固醇)而降低LDL(坏胆固醇)。下面是随便摘了三篇文献,供参考。以后有时间我也许会就此写篇文章。

另外,我博客里有篇文章《假如你没有胆固醇》,基本表达了我的观点。问周末好!

Effects of dietary egg on human serum cholesterol and triglycerides

One hundred fourteen male volunteers (mean age 44.6 years) consumed one whole egg daily in their customary diets for 3 months. Their final serum cholesterol (SCHOL) and triglycerides (STG) levels were compared with their initial levels on customary free choice diets and also with their levels after a 3-month elimination of dietary whole eggs. All subjects had previously confirmed normal serum lipid levels and no history of heart disease. Four-day food records were kept during both experimental dietary periods. A Latin square design allowed analysis for seasonal effects on lipid levels. No significant change in mean SCHOL on either diet was found; there was a seasonal effect on mean STG. Significant linear associations of fat intake and of energy intake were found. There was no significant association of dietary cholesterol intake with either SCHOL or STG.v

The Effect of Egg Consumption in Hyperlipidemic Subjects during Treatment with Lipid-Lowering Drugs.

Background. Limiting egg consumption to avoid high cholesterolemia is recommended to reduce risk of cardiovascular disease. However, recent evidences suggest that cholesterol from diet has limited influence on serum cholesterol. Objective. To assess the effect of egg consumption on lipid profiles in hyperlipidemic adults treated with lipid-lowering drugs. Material and Method. Sixty hyperlipidemic subjects, mean age of 61 years, who had been treated with lipid-lowering drugs. Every subject was assigned to consume additional 3 eggs per day with their regular diet for 12 weeks. Measurements for lipid profiles and body compositions were performed. Results. An additional consumption of 3 eggs per day for 12 weeks increased HDL-cholesterol by 2.46 ± 6.81mg/dL (P < 0.01) and decreased LDL-cholesterol to HDL-cholesterol ratio by 0.13 ± 0.46 (P < 0.05). No significant changes were found in other lipid profiles. Body weight and body mass index were significantly increased at 12th week by 0.52 ± 1.83kg and 0.31 ± 0.99kg/m(2), respectively (P < 0.05). Conclusion. In hyperlipidemic adults who were treated with lipid-lowering drugs, the consumption of additional 3 eggs per day to their regular diet will increase the level of HDL-cholesterol and decrease the ratio of LDL-cholesterol to HDL-cholesterol.

An egg-enriched diet attenuates plasma lipids and mediates cholesterol metabolism of high-cholesterol fed rats.

We investigated the influence of an egg-enriched diet on plasma, hepatic and fecal lipid levels and on gene expression levels of transporters, receptors and enzymes involved in cholesterol metabolism. Sprague-Dawley rats fed an egg-enriched diet had lower plasma triglycerides, total cholesterol, low density lipoprotein (LDL)-cholesterol, hepatic triglyceride, and cholesterol concentrations, and greater plasma high-density lipoprotein cholesterol concentration, fecal neutral sterol and bile acid concentrations than those fed a plain cholesterol diet. Chicken egg yolk had no effect on sterol 12α-hydroxylase and sterol 27α-hydroxylase; but upregulated mRNA levels of hepatic LDL-receptor, cholesterol 7α-hydroxylase (CYP7A1) and lecithin cholesterol acyltransferase, and downregulated hepatic hydroxymethylglutaryl-(HMG)-CoA reductase and acyl-CoA:cholesterol acyltransferase (ACAT) after 90 days. Modification of the lipoprotein profile by an egg-enriched diet was mediated by reducing de novo cholesterol synthesis and enhancing the excretion of fecal cholesterol, via upregulation of CYP7A1 and the LDL receptor, and downregulation of HMG-CoA reductase and ACAT.
