1. Make sure the enclosure support the size of you hard drive.
2. Create a new partition using PartitionMagic 8.0 or something else.

If PartitionMagic can recongnize it, this drive is usable. In you case, you do not need to do any Master/Slave jumping or assign a disk volume(?).
