DVD Shrink doesn't work. Help please!

First time making a back up of an old movie. I tried both decrypter and shrink. The first one made half of the movie for me and the shrink doesn't even work. After I save/decrypting them with the program it won't do the back up. do I have to buy Nero to use shrink program. Please help!
