Please help me!

My computer is dead. I can not install the reinstallation CD either. The computer did not have any response when i insert my reinstallation CD in cd drive. It just showed the same thing, like: Problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage in your computer.
One week before, when i tried to open an email, the computer suddenly shutted down, then show this information. Is my hard drive broken? or virus ? Please help me!
