求救 重装 win98

求救.本人在ibm thinkpad600 上使用 win98. 最近开机后无法正常进入windows, 开启声音后,即显示: the program is an illegal operation and the system will be shut down... 的警告方框, 无正常的icons显示.
是否中了病毒? 试过把98安装盘放入cd-rom, 也无法启动.
如何解决?请高手赐教.....
