Need help for a computer kara

I have a extra computer. I am considering using this computer to build a karaoke system. I am tired of changing disc on my dvd player. I am going to copy all the songs in my VCD disc to the computer. I would like to have a remote control which I can use to put the song number and the software play the song according to the the list. Is there this kind of software and remote control? Thanks for the help
