USB speed is defined as

High-Speed 480 Mbps
Full-Speed 12 Mbps
Low-Speed 1.5 Mbps

device labeled USB 2.0 may not necessarily run at high speed

Devices capable of the fastest speed are labelled Hi- speed USB 2.0

Even if a device is correctly labelled Hi-speed USB 2.0 it won’t run at maximum speed unless your operating system and motherboard support it.

Also, if your system u***** controller/drivers were corrupted and repaired incorrectly to u***** 1.1 then the device would go for u***** 1.1 speed.
