depends what u after.

u want a simple external hard drive to simplely save ur data? mactor and lacie both make nice ex hd which is pretty big-space and size.that will cost u aroung 150$ for a massive 200gb hard drive
if u r after a drive u can take anywhere, try smartdisk, cost just $100 for a 60gb hard drive, small both space and size.
or u want a hard drive with a card slot? well this is gonna cost u a bit more, i strongly recommend u to get one from china, instead of abroad.
maybe u got a deeeep pocket, then for $300 u can get a hard drive with a little colour monitor(for u to browse color pics) and card slot, with internal space around 30-40gb, epson, nikon coolwalker, or even ipod photo they are all reasonable choice, nice, but for a price.
