If you don't mind, you can try this way. Take off your hard drive, make it as slave drive. And put into other machine. I'm not quite sure, but you can have a try.

By the way, when u install winXP. System will ask you to delete existing partation by press D or set up by press enter.Normally, it won't affect other partation. So I'm quite confused by the question.
