Help needed on Hotmail account

I used to MS Outlook Express to download my Hotmail A/C e-mails. But last week, microsoft stops me to use Outlook Express to access to my hotmail account, unless I upgrade to premium services and pay for the services. I don't like the way to use web browser to log in the account and look at my mails. I prefer to down load them into my laptop.

Same thing happen to somebody else? Could you help me to find out which software I could use to replace the Outlook Express in order to download my mails from my Hotmail account? Many thanks.
