Are you asking wireless through cell phone or regular wireless through Wi-Fi? Technically, none of them will be free!

Internet through cell phone of course you have to go through Cell phone provider, it's not free.

Wi-Fi, you have to have the internet connection first, no matter dial-up, DSL or Cable, unless you can share with others or you have free internet access, they won't be free.

If you have internet connection, then buy a wireless router, and wireless adapter for your desktop, that's it.
