it is very dificault to use your laptop screen as your desktop monator.

the laptop screen has no hardware built in to handle vga input, the laptop main board does the job. it done by someone and there was a lot of electroics involved, you need a board with a chip designed for the screen to handle its functions and another to convert the vga signal usable by the laptop screen and a circut for power.
