the right thing. HP CD-Writer has its own burning software which
is what you used. You can try the CD-R you burnt on your friend's
CD player to see if it works. if not then give a blank CD-R to your
friend and ask him/her to burn a music CD for you. That way you
can tell if your CD-Writer and its software is working or not. I'm
using "Nero 6 Burning ROM" (www.nero.com) to burn CD-Rs. Not really
familiar with other burning software.
