NJStar Freezes My Computer All

I used to be able to use it, but it freezes my computer all the time recently. Does anyone know why? The only way I could use it to post message here is to open NJ Star before I go online -- and it will become very slow. Otherwise, it will freeze my company. It is so annoying. I tried to download NJ Star again. same thing. My system is windows 98. Also, when i go online and open my word document my system becomes very slow. Could anyone help me out? Thank you very much for your input.
