You can set it up by going start->control panel-> Network connections. right click on the connection you want to set, go to properties->advanced and check Internet firewall. This is pretty simple firewall prevention, it closes most useless ports, to prevent trojan, and other crap..that's why MS implemented Firewall in their later editions of windows. Because most people don't need to use high tech stuff for firewall. If you have DSL, buy a router and set it as a gatway and turn on the fire wall, or run simple firewall protection program.
