There should be no problem having multiple accounts using OE. As long as your pop/smtp is valid, i.e., not the free account, or you played the trick cheating the system using the pop/smtp, but you must set the secure authentication for pop to work.
Sometimes the prompt of the password is due to the system upgrade, you may wait sometime to relogin.
