Celeron and 256MB are fine for installing and running SAS. I have installed it to my desktop with celeron 533HZ and 256MB. It runs great. But recent version of SAS need you to upgrade to Win XP professional and install SP1 or 2.SAS will automatically check your system and tell you the basic requirements.
