USB2.0/1394 which is better?

I want to buy a Hard Drive Enclosure Kit. There are two kinds of kits which one of them have only the USB(2.0) connection, while the other one has both USB and 1394 connection. I am wondering how faster is the 1394 than the USB. If they are like the same, I would like to buy the kit with USB only because it’s much cheaper. According to the Ads, the speed of USB is 480Mbps, while the speed of 1394 is 400Mbps. I am confused with it.
