If you are using sympatico, don't use any software comes with it. if you already install, remove first. Then try again. Beware, when you set up connection, first energize DSL modem, after 'DSL' light on constantly, energize router, last trun on your computer.This should be in your router instruction.

BTW, update firmware of router.
