Help, please

Use Win2000, and IE6, with DSL connnection.Right now, when I start IE6, it is very slow, and task manager shows that the CPU works at 100% load.The computer is loaded with Norton System Works, and downloaded all the Windows Patches. It seems there is no virus. What's wrong with it? Help me out of the trouble, please.
