802.11b/a/g/n and 2.4g, 5.4g mean different things

802.11b/a/g/n are different wireless standards, they typically reflect different max transmission speed

b/a => 11Mbps
g  => 54Mbps
n =>  >100Mbps

2.4 and 5.4g are the so call dual bands or two transmission frequencies.

The g and older starndards only use 2.4, and n will use both frequencies.
You can check the wireless speed on your laptop by 1) left click on the wireless icon (lower right corner), 2) right click on the "connected" sigal icon, 3)left click on the Status.  If the speed is greater than 54Mbps, then you are good to go.
