Well, you just pointed out that Apple is also not innovative, it does not prove that Google is innovative. So you are essentially saying Microsoft is innovative because Microsoft developed all OS in house. (except the very first version of DOS).

Apple's main innovation is on the GUI and on the hardware design. So I will still consider Apple innovative. But Google bought Android through acquisition, and it copied Linux and Java on the system level, and copied iOS on the GUI level.  Why so many people still feel Google is innovative? I think that's the "evil" part...
