the balance will not disappear when you add a monthly card

When you used up data for your monthly card, page plus will take money from your $30+ prepaid balance to cover your data usage, while your voice and text usage will still be deducted from your monthly card, not affecting your $30+ balance, unless you used up your voice/text on your monthly plan.
