I tried to add Chinese input to my XP yesterday. I got it, but couldn't open all my folders on desktop, even internet explore. Then I had to reinstall XP ( my colleague's CD) via "repair XP". I got my folders and IE back. But I alway found error message when I open office such as microsoft word. Today, I found my XP cd that comes with my computer and re-installed the XP again, this time via clean install ( I don't remember the exact name for this installation). When I came back to the computer, all folder are lost. Then, I tried the system recovery twice from differnt time points, still couldn't get them back. Unfortunately I checked my backup data CD, found a lot of files I didn't save... I called helpdesk, but nobody was there. I had to leave my office...
