i have a pbx so i have an extension in every room. If you know voip, you will know there must be a way to connect your phone to the network. for ip phones, you already have network ports but for regular analog phones like your cordless phone, it will need an adapter to complete the requirment. the dapter connects to the network (router) and your phone. very few people would want to go through the way i set up my system but it is very nice since you can use the phones in the same time in differnet rooms and you can call from one room to another, you can transfer calls from one room to another.....
