remove advertisement windows

intel pc, win2k, macfee firewall. but some advertisement window can still get in. The title of those windows all say messenger service. does it has anything to do with the MS Messenger installed in my pc?

those windows are not the popup windows when a website is opened. they appear even when IE is closed. and all of those windows advertise how to block this security hole by visiting their sites.
