is Toshiba A35-S159 good?

I just bought a Toshiba laptop last week,Satellite A35-S159, P4-2.3 60GB, 512MB ,CD-RW/DVD-ROM ,wireless integrated, with only $899( $455 rebate and a free router). it is really a good deal. but one friend said Toshiba 's customer service is not good. and the laptop has noise when working. i am hesitated. anybody has advice?
