对，Modem是好的，先把Modem及Router接上电脑

reset the router,

from your PC Start-》Run->type cmd-> type ipconfig,

you should get default gateway, such as 192.168.0.1. anything begine with 192.168.

if you do not get default gateway or your default gateway is 0.0.0.0, then your router is bad.

那么你必须更换Router，到Ebay买WRTU54g，其价格及性能比都比较好。不可能用Switch，因为你的Network没有DHCP服务，DHCP是分配IP的服务。

也可以买Modem和Router一体机，例如SBG900，更换Modem时要通知Cable公司。
