My experience is that if compression is more than 10%,

play will have problem. But DVD Shrink can remove those extra stuff, like sounds in other languages, even the last section (credits), so compression is not too bad for most movies. More than half of the movies don't need compression after removed extra stuff.

Rule: cannot compress more than 10%.
