Iomega portable disk can image application?

Hi there,
I heard that Iomega (now part of EMC) has some portable HD that can
image an application on your PC and then used anywhere you want.
Is this ture, if so, how does it work? Does it mean that I can image
a MS office from my work and use it in my home PC?
