Need help from computer expert!!!

My problem:my laptop always freezes.

My computer is IBM ThinkPad, T60, only 3 years old.

What I tried to solve the problem:
1)restarted the computer many times, the problem is still there;
2)ran different antivirus softwares and removed all the objects detected, the problem is still there
3)went to scheduled tasks, and delected all the tasks, still couldn't solve the problem.
4)went to microsoft windows update to update windows, was told that nothing need to be updated.

If any one have the experience and suggestion, I would very very appreciate.
