just like a small company sued Microsoft to stop using XML since it figured a way of doing a certain thing. MS may not use exactly that way for that matter, but not in general cases. In fact, MS promoted XML in the first place.

Similar thing here. Fundamental command structure is all the same for all companies: you will need "add" "move" etc. after all. However, it doesn't prevent you to do things in hardware differently.
