The size depends on person to person.

If the person calls a lot, he/she want to carry a smaller phone.
If the person does not make a lot of calls, mostly does browse internet,
text message, watch video, use GPS, and play game, 4.5-5 inch device is better.

I, myself would prefer a 4.5-5" device because I don't make a lot of calls,
but would like to get all other features.
