I need help to setup a 2nd hand Dell Computer,

Problem is: when running XP setup, got error message; cannot find a hard-dist. however bootingup, system show a SCSI HD has been found. Seem XP setup cannot recongnize this HD, therefore I cannot format it.

When I open computer case, a seagate HD installed and connected to a PCI Card which to me is new.

What should I do to set-up XP on this computer?
