1. The speaker is muted. Click on speaker icon and check it out.

2. A earphone is plugged in, computer automatically mutes speaker.

3. The driver of audio device is corrupted. Reinstall.

4. Less likely, the audio card is broken. Replace or get a cheap USB audio card ($10).
