Depends on the contents on DVD

If you have movies on video tapes or in divx format, you should consider using CDs as storage media. If you want to copy, sorry, rip copyright protected movies, then, you have to remove the content scrambling system (CSS) watermark before you can copy them. The following *freeware* will do the ripping job for you: DVD Decrypter, DVD Shrink, Smartripper, and vStrip. Once you have ripped movies onto harddrive, you can do anything with them using appropiate software. For just burning the movies (from HDD to DVD disc), Nero or any OEM software that comes with your DVD burner should be sufficient.
