停掉固线电话,转用VoIP

一直潜水看贴,已跟随fitwxc的介绍安装好VoIP PHONE, fax. spa1001的质量确实不错,价钱也好.GV#也得到,很方便.在此向fitwxc致谢.月底手机合同到期后,将转到PP.
和大家交流一下:现在我的固线家庭电话已无用,准备把它停掉,只保留DSL.听说电话公司会将DSL也一并切除,尽管他们一开始答应不会.谁有这些经历?要如何与电话公司说才能防止这现象发生?没有internet的话,生活会乱作一团.我的固线电话公司是Verizon.
