Ubunto 9 vs Fedora 10

我从没有试过Ubunto，但似乎Ubunto 很流行了，它和Fedora 比较有什么区别？

如果我是搞开发（嵌入式系统的底层开发，不需要图形界面），哪种Linux 更好？如果是作为Windows的替代，哪种更好？
