请问一个在unix操作系统下远程登录的问题

it is a SGI Origin 2000 work station in China, and the operating system is Irix 6.5.

I am in USA and need to access this machine. I tried telnet, but did not work. it said: could not open the host on port 23.
connect failed.


could anyone give me some suggestions?
