question regarding lan

I setup a lan, a DSL modem/router connect to a switch and a few computers connect each other by the switch.
the computers are works fine, they can see each other, but they can not connect to the internet. if I change the ip to dynamic, they will works fine.

I think mayne I should set the modem/router to disable route ?

any help will be appreciated.
