Internet explorer is very slow when it is opened

When I launch me explorer everytime it is very slow and seems a lot of other program is running. After that it works ok. Anybody know what's the problem is? Also there are three tool bars on the top which from google, yahoo and another I do not know exactly. Is anyway I can get ride of those tool bars from explorer?
