救救我的Windows 2000！！！

超级菜鸟大呼救！！！

我有一台电脑装有C和D二硬盘。C盘分区分装中文Windows XP 和英文Windows 2000二种不同操作系统.

超级菜鸟在更新中文Windows XP时，误将中文Windows XP安装在D盘。 电脑重启后，显示如下信息：

“因以下文件的损坏或者丢失，Windows 无法启动：
\system32\hal.dll

请重新安装以上文件拷贝。”


现状：
中文Windows XP还可以运行。 但不能看到存在C盘分区内英文Windows 2000 的文件和资料。

问题：
1. 我该怎样拷贝和安装\system32\hal.dll？
2. 或者，我该怎样在C盘分区内重新安装中文Windows XP？
3. 是否要重新格式化C盘？
