Please help with Internet on my laptop.

I have broadband at home but internet on my laptop will stop every 1hour and 20mins or so. Once it happens, I have to restart my laptop to get internet back on. But the interesting thing is, before I restart the laptop, I open the connection and the it is still connected and the lights on the wireless modem work fine; and, if I use my laptop but not connected to the internet, once 1 hour and 20 mins passes, I turn on the internet connection and it doesn’t work.
Using the same wireless internet connection, the internet on my hu*****and’s laptop works fine for as long as the laptop is on. Same modem, if I choose to connect my laptop and the same modem and the internet on my laptop still stops every 1hour and 20 mins, but my hu*****and’s laptop works fine. I think the modem works fine because the problem only appears on my laptop.

Maybe some settings in my laptop not right? Can anyone help? Thanks in advance.
