Help!One question of WindowsXP

My computer has 4 speakers. I changed my operation system from Windows 2000 professional to Windows XP last night, and then I found that only the front two speakers worked.I did not know what happened? I also tried to change the settings in the Volume to match 4 speakers, but it didn't work. anyone who can help me??
I appreaciate it a lot!!!
