讨教高手电脑Recover和自己装电脑问题

我有一台用了数年的手提Toshiba。因速度越来越慢，就清掉了一些软件，可能将什么重要东西清掉了，现在打开任何网页都是空白的。于是找出Reconvery and Application/Drivers DVD，想Recover System。

突然想到，既然我有此Reconvery and Application/Drivers DVD，那么是否可用它来自己组装一台电脑。我喜欢它的Window XP。新买了一台电脑是Vista，不能安转2000Microsoft Office.

请电脑高手指点。万分感谢！
