Here you go...

if your laptop has a S-video port, you can connet it to the video input of your HDTV directly but the video quality may lose some. If not, there are two ways to do it - 1) buy a RGB cable to connect your 15pin RGB port to HDTV's RGB, 2) buy a cable RGB to either HDMI or DVI so you can connect it to your HDTV (check your HDTV what kind of input ports you have).
