I am triing to help a friend recover a dead PC. For convenience, I only asked the friend to give me the hard disk.
First, I took a look of whatever left in his hd (set as slave): it has no operating system (not Windows folder etc.), but has a few general document files (folders). Strange, I thought it should either has none, or all files.
My next step is to reinstall the OS. I plan to do it in one of my working PCs.
Will it work? Please advise.
Can I fix a dead PC by only fixing the HD in nother PC?
