How to get rid of message: Not genuine Operating System

I bought a used PC which has already installed Windows XP. One day the PC was automatically upgrading something from Microsoft package, after upgrade, it always shows a message – Not genuine XP operating system, asking to resolve either NOW and LATER. If choose option NOW, it leads to buy a new XP OS, if choose LATER, then the message always stays in screen, so annoying! Any ways to get rid of such message?
