When one day my LCD and USB are dead at the same time, initially I though as only as I can fix LCD, I can use PCMCIA card to handle USB. I was able to take LCD panel out, remove the keyboard. I changed couple inverters and LCD was still not light up normally (I could see a faint logo when I power it up). I am sure it's not inverter issue.

I searched website, there are so many poeple have had the same scenarios as mine - planar board is dead.

I can buy a used one on ebay for $150. That is a risk I want to take...
